RECONSTRUCTION
An upcoming collection of stays set within a former Montessori building.
Now in development, the interiors are being designed to feel calm, tactile, and quietly restorative — shaped by natural materials, soft tonal contrast, matte finishes, and thoughtful light throughout.
Through site research and a deep care for historical features, we will be keeping the existing structure and windows. We will also be bringing along a few textures we’ve found on the site, as they are truly fascinating.

TEXTURES FOUND AT THE SITE
History at Meadowbrook Montessori
The School was long known locally as Meadowbrook Montessori Pre-School on Bracknell Road in Warfield, though the site’s history reaches back further. Planning records describe the main building as a red-brick Victorian former school house, later adapted and extended over time for its use as a Montessori setting.
As Meadowbrook Montessori, it served local families for years before the school relocated in 2018. The building still carries traces of that earlier life, not only in name but in its scale, rhythm, and the large architectural windows that remain one of its loveliest features, bringing a sense of openness and light to the structure.
The School remains as a simple marker of that layered past.
