A beautifully practical and charming vintage country-style telephone bench, masterfully upcycled to fit both traditional and contemporary mudrooms, hallways, or entryways. Crafted from solid pine, this multi-functional piece features a classic scalloped gallery back and features a newly upholstered, comfortable seat cushion covered in a neutral, textured oatmeal linen-blend fabric.
The clever layout includes a small pull-out utility drawer next to the seating pad—perfect for keys or mail—topped by a smooth pine surface. Below, what appears to be a chest of drawers is actually a deceptive, spacious drop-down front cupboard door. Opening the main door reveals a hidden inner shelf, offering an abundance of organized storage space for shoes, boots, or winter accessories. The piece has been handsomely finished with rich olive green painted panels that contrast beautifully against the warm, exposed natural pine borders and turned wooden knobs.
Condition:
Excellent restored condition. The solid pine framework is exceptionally sturdy, heavy, and structurally sound. The drop-down cupboard door and top drawer both operate smoothly. The item has been recently upcycled, painted, and fitted with a brand-new, clean fabric cushion, meaning it shows no notable wear, staining, or structural flaws and is entirely ready for immediate use.
