Biography

Natalie Viecili is a visual artist based in King City. Natalie celebrates the intricate and transient beauty of plants and flowers through vibrant realism paintings.  She received her BFA from York University in 2010 and completed a one year studio residency at the Toronto School of Art through 2011. Her work has been exhibited at venues throughout Toronto including the Gladstone Hotel, Fort York, and Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts. She has also included work in Nuit Blanche and has exhibited in Montreal and Seattle, Washington.

Natalie lives north of Toronto with her husband, two young boys, and a senior Boston terrier named Walter. Her studio time is currently confined between the margins of naps, school drop offs, and after the house winds down in the evenings. Picking up a brush for 30 minutes or an hour at a time, Natalie’s practice is evolving into short rituals of self care in the thick of motherhood.
